Getting there
Metrolink's Orange County Line and Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner stop in San Clemente; the beach is a walk or shuttle from town. It's the southernmost California venue, roughly ninety minutes from Downtown LA.
Where to stay
San Clemente and Dana Point are relaxed beach-town bases. If you're mixing zones, Anaheim splits the difference between Trestles and central LA.
