Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center), home to the storied Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, will be a centerpiece of LA 2028 as one of the Games' premier indoor venues. This 20,000-seat arena in LA Live has hosted NBA Finals, Grammy Awards, and countless championship events since opening in 1999. For the Olympics, it will showcase some of the Games' most popular sports: basketball preliminaries, artistic gymnastics finals, boxing medal bouts, and wrestling competitions.
